We’re off to Seattle where it’ll be 45° and rainy, leaving Wisconsin where it’s 35° and rainy.
We’ve been having a warm, snowless, winter. Things started off with cold and some snow in November, but around Christmas it got mild.
Just another addition to what has surely been a difficult year. Not so much for me, with white people problems in Madison: overworked at my academic job; rainy summer when the basement leaked – but at least you have a basement, as the mom of one of my foster kids said; my CSA boxes weren’t as full (at least you can afford a CSA box); and unlike 2016 when I got a cold for Christmas, this year I’m getting a cold for New Year’s.
Here’s what my neighborhood looked like on December 27th.
