Winter 2009 One-Dish Dinners
A series of reasonably-priced meals, usually scheduled on week nights, featuring a hearty main dish, salad, drink and dessert. Served buffet style.
Dinner 2 will be Sunday Supper, on February 22nd.
Dinner 1 will be Monday, January 12, 2009, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The theme is S O U P.
All choices will be on the buffet from 6:00 - 7:30; we're not guaranteeing after!
The menu is: [soup types subject to change pending availability of ingredients & cook's whims <grin>]:
- Three soups: one meat, one vegetarian, one vegan
- meat soup: split pea with ham
- Vegetarian: Tomato Dill
- Vegan Italian wedding soup, with a light vegetable broth, escarole, and tofu nut balls
- Winter vegetable salads: carrot & raison, beets & kale, coleslaw
- Assorted wholegrain breads and rolls with butter
- Upside down cakes - pear, pineapple, satsuma mandarin - with whipped cream
- Still and sparkling waters, cider
$12 per person | $22 per party of 2 | $10 each parties of 3 or more | children under 12 FREE
