So early in the spring dinner - Sunday, April 6th, 2008
6:30 p.m. - social hour with light appetizers
approx. 7:00 p.m. - Main meal served family style (food in bowls and platters that are passed at the table) - One seating at approximately 7:00 p.m., when everyone gets here, or lets us know why we should start without them!
- Pasta primavera - pasta with spring vegetables, garlic, butter, cream, and cheeses
- Oven-poached salmon with herb sauce
- Wilted winter greens with champagne vinegar, garlic & currants
- Almost no-knead bread
- Gingerbread trifle with vanilla custard, rhubarb pureé, lemon curd and lots of whipped cream
